I thought my 9-pound, 2-ounce baby was something to brag about. But a Boston-area mom one-upped me this week—maybe four-upped me—by giving birth to a 13 pound, 2-ounce boy…wait for it…vaginally. She pushed for only about 10 minutes, and claims it was not as painful as she thought it was going to be. This was her first baby.

How did this baby end up so big? Neither parent was a very large baby, and mom Amanda Byron says ate well during her pregnancy. "They don't know why he's so big. I had a normal, well-balanced diet—avoided caffeine and sodas," she told the Boston Herald.
