Families in the New York metropolitan area can come out this weekend for a fun-filled time to benefit a good cause. On Saturday, October 22, 2011, VH1 Save the Music Foundation Family Day, an interactive musical expo, will be held at PS 334, The Anderson School, at 100 West 77th Street from 10 am to 4 pm.

The VH1 Save the Music Foundation and Parenting have teamed up to bring you a day of family-friendly fun in NYC—for a good cause of course, as proceeds from the event will help ensure that music remains part of the core curriculum in public schools. Spend the day enjoying the festivities while listening to the great sounds of Hanson, Mat Kearney, Hot Peas ‘N Butter, and many more…

The event will have plenty of food trucks, including the Milk Truck Grilled Cheese and CupcakeStop, and loads of activities, including puppet shows, family karaoke, storybook readings, a meet-and-greet with SpongeBob SquarePants, the Parenting Fam Jam, the opportunity for kids to try out band and string instruments, and much, much more.

Hope to see you there!
