I write about my kids being a lot of things (funny, wild, foul-mouthed), but I rarely mention the biggest one: miracles. As you guys know, I am a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with leukemia 10 years ago and didn't know if I'd even be alive at this point, let alone alive and well and happy and healthy and a mom to two great kids. Lucky doesn't even begin to describe it. I wanted to share this video, which my sister and I just launched for our 10-year cancerversary fundaising campaign, to tell you a bit more about our story. And show you why it is so amazing that I was able to become a mom. Please take a few minutes to watch if you can!
Hope you liked it! I've been working on the video for months and it still makes me cry every time I watch it. The day Melissa had to leave her son to go into the hospital for treatment was absolutley gut-wrenching. And watching the scenes (which are from Kris Carr's Crazy, Sexy, Cancer) brings me right back to that time. Would love to hear your thoughts. And definitely share the link if you can. We have five weeks left to reach our goal of $100,000 and every little bit helps—a lot. Check out erinzammettruddy.com to see how you can get involved.
