We're going to have to concur with Woody Allen (who co-directed Cruz and her hunky hubby Javier Bardem in 2008's Vicky Cristina Barcelona): "I'm sure they'll have a super baby, because their genes are award-winning."
The two were married in July and according to People.com, Cruz was 4 1/2 months pregnant on September 13.
Neil Patrick Harris
The Emmy-nominated How I Met Your Mother star and his long-time partner David Burka are expecting twins (a boy and a girl) via surrogate mother. On August 14 Harris tweeted, "We're super excited/ nervous/ thrilled". We think that just about sums it up.
John Travolta & Kelly Preston
After tragically losing 16-year-old son Jett in January '09, John Travolta and Kelly Preston will welcome a new baby in November. Baby Travolta will join older sis, 10-year-old Ella Bleu. Linda Carlson, Preston's mother, says that baby will be told about his older brother Jett. "He'll see the pictures and he'll be told stories," she told Us Weekly, adding that her daughter's pregnancy "couldn't come at a better time. (Kelly's) aura is so filled with peace. It's changed their lives."
Singer Alanis Morissette, 36, is expecting her first child with husband, rapper Mario 'Souleye' Traedway, whom she married in May. In August, Alanis spilled the baby-news beans in Us Weekly's "25 Things You Don't Know About Me" section, listing number 25 as: "I'm pregnant!"
She then went told Us that the baby was a surprise.
Actor Vince Vaughn has played a wedding crasher, a swinger and the reluctant clinger in a bad break-up. In real life, him and partner Kyla Weber recently told People that they are happily expecting their first child. Though mum on the due date, we wonder if the tot will follow in his Frat Pack leader father's goofy steps.
Actor Matt Damon and wife Luciana, already parents to Isabella, 3, and Gia, 21 months, are expecting their third child in the fall. (Luciana also has an 11-year-old daughter, Alexia, from a previous marriage.) But we have to respectfully disagree with Damon's "aging suburban dad" description: he was always dreamy -- and he's even hunkier now that he's a dad!
Though she hasn't officially confirmed it, Shopaholic and Wedding Crasher actress Isla Fisher sure looks to be pregnant with baby number two. (Big sis, Olive, will be 3 in October.) We can't help but wonder if perhaps actor-husband Sacha Baron Cohen, aka Ali G./ Borat/ Bruno, is creating a secret identity for the new addition.
After a long struggle to conceive and less than a year post-miscarriage, 42 year-old Celine Dion is finally welcoming not one, but two babies into her pop queen arms. The twins, who are expected to arrive around December, will look up to big brother Rene Charles, 9.
With 7 Tour de France wins, and baby number 5 on the way, it seems that Lance Armonstrong is a man with a plan. The 38-year old cyclist and girlfriend Anna Hansen will welcome their second child together this October. The baby, dubbed cincoarmstrong, has already started tweeting its adventures:
"I got 2 arms, 2 legs, a nickname, and [I'm] 2 inches long. See y'all in October...I'm now the size of a lemon, 3.5 inches long, and weigh 1.5 ounces. And oh yeah, I'm on Twitter."
Oh, the lullabies that baby'll hear! Keys will welcome a baby with her new husband, producer Swizz Beatz, sometime around November. So far, Keys has showed off her baby bump in style, performing at the BET awards wearing a tiny strapless purple Dolce & Gabbana dress. She also drew lots of attention at a Good Morning America concert, where she showed off her thighs in an eggshell romper and accessorized with chunky, gold bangles. You go, mamma!
Breast cancer survivor Christina Applegate is about to become married with child in real life -- she and fiance Martyn LeNoble, bass player for Pornos for Pyros, are expecting their first child together. Applegate's most recent role -- as a VP struck with retrograde amnesia on Samantha Who?, might be good preparation for the inevitable new mommy brain.
38-year-old designer Stella McCartney and husband Alasdhair Willis will be welcoming number baby number four in late fall, joining siblings Miller, 5, Bailey, 3, and Beckett, 2. We can't wait to see how McCartney, who has already designed two children's collections for the Gap, decides to outfit her newest fashion muse.
You may be used to Jodie as the wild middle child from Full House, but now she's building a family of her own (hopefully in a house with more bathrooms than the fictional San Francisco townhouse). After ending her marriage to Cody Herpin (with whom she shares 2-year-old daughter, Zoie), Sweetin, 28, announced that she and boyfriend Morty Coyle are expecting a baby later this year.
The 45-year-old Project Runway judge and Marie Claire fashion director will welcome her second child in December, with husband David Conrod. The couple is already parents to 3-year-old son Lucas Alexander. (Raise your hand if you want to raid her maternity closet. We do, we do!)
New Jersey native Ali Larter, who you'll remember from Final Destination, Legally Blonde, Obsessed, and as Jessica/Niki Sanders and Tracy Strauss from the NBC television show Heroes, recently announced that she is expecting her first child with husband, actor/writer Hayes MacArthur. She told People she's psyched to be a mom and can't wait to "be home with the babies."
It may be hard to imagine Saved By The Bell's A.C. Slater changing diapers or being covered in spit up, but come this fall, the Extra and America's Best Dance Crew host will officially be known as "dad." Girlfriend Courtney Mazza will give birth this fall, and they both want to be surprised by the sex of the baby.
Update: Courtney gave birth to Gia Francesca Lopez on Saturday, September 11. VH1 has a reality series about the new family in the works, which (according to a tweet from Mario) may be called 'Mario Lopez: Saved by the Baby'.
American Idol rocker Chris Daughtry and his high school sweetheart wife, Deanna, are already parents to Griffin, born June '98 and Hannah, born September '96. They'll be adding two more to the brood in November, since Deanne is expecting twins. According to Daughtry's website, the couple used IVF due to Deanna's partial hysterectomy in 2006.
Winnie Cooper's going to be a mom! The Wonder Years star and author of math books (Kiss My Math, Math Doesn't Suck, and Hot X: Algebra Exposed) announced in March that she and her husband Mike Verta are expecting their first child this fall. Not ashamed of her preggo bod, Danica posed for Maxim 11 weeks into her pregnancy. "Posing for a magazine like this does not mean that you're a ditz... I want to make sure that girls don't feel limited by that because it's kind of fun to be a little sexy." she told the TODAY show, saying she wants to be a positive role model for girls.
Update: On Friday, September 10, Danica welcomed a son, little Drace Verta. The little dragon (that's what his name means) weighed in a 7 lbs., 2 oz. "We are humbled, overjoyed and so grateful for this miraculous gift. It's like we've only now just learned the true meaning of love," McKellar and husband Mike Verta told People.
