2009 Halloween Costume Contest: Round 3

"Perfect for brother and sister -- especially if sister wants to be a princess! For Snow White: This is the Simplicity 2817 pattern. The pattern is pretty easy. I used royal blue and gold cotton and red satin. We purchased the wig from a party store -- red lipstick and red fingernails to add the finishing touches. She carried stuffed animals with her. Then for Dopey: I bought a slightly oversized green turtleneck and added gold and black felt -- just stitched it on. Found turquoise leggings at a thrift store and added tan socks pulled up high. I made a cone shaped hat out of lavender felt and sewed on ears that I found at a party store.

Everyone in the neighborhood thought they were the cutest, and the kids loved being Snow White and Dopey. Of course the little guy might not like it so much when he is older..."
