Food Portions and Serving Sizes
Sometimes all it takes to start losing weight is to simply get a handle on your portions. No new mom has time to weigh every thing she pops in her mouth; instead use this quick cheat sheet to avoid portion distortion.

One cup of cereal is a serving of grain product, about the size of your fist. Remember you should have 6 to 11 servings of the Grains group daily, and about half of those servings should be whole grains.
