Make lunch a fun game of tic tac toe! Fill your squares with fun mini cupcake liners filled with mixed veggies, mashed potatoes, meatballs, pasta, mini quiches, mac and cheese, sliced fruit and veggies and dip -- anything you have at the ready.
Antichoking warning: Remember to remove toothpicks and cut up blueberries, grapes, carrots and other food for children under 4. See our Antichoking guide for more information.
A sprinkling of carrot flowers makes the squares pretty and adds veggies throughout. Here's our step-by-step photo guide on making carrot flowers.
- Cut out X and O shapes from carrot and cucumber slices. Use cookie cutters as a guide, or leave whole for a checkers shape.
- Grape halves on toothpicks make great fruit kabobs, but you can skewer any fruit your kid loves. Have her help and make her own if she's old enough.
