April 17, 2007Cardinal Distributing Co. has recalled 900,000 children's charm bracelets and sportswear necklaces. The paint used on the jewelry contains lead, which can be hazardous if ingested.
The recalled necklaces have pendants in the shape of blue or green basketballs, yellow stars, or phrases such as "01," and "Perfect 10." The pendants hang on a black cord. The recalled ,bracelets have charms in the shape of green or pink hearts, silver suns, moons, stars, padlocks, keys, rattles and fishbones. The bracelets and necklaces were sold for 25 cents in vending machines in malls, discount stores, department stores, and grocery stores nationwide from January 2006 through April 2007.
