Who else is in the story? Baby Emmy says, "Hi!" to a boy with a hat and ball. Baby Emmy says, "Hi!" to a man picking out apples. And she says, "Hi!" to a lady carrying flowers.

What are they doing? But when Baby Emmy sees the man at the deli, she doesn't say, "Hi." She says, "Cheese!" Mama looks at her and says, "Please..." Baby Emmy says to the man, "Peas!"
Why are they doing that? Baby Emmy is hungry and knows the deli man will give her a slice of cheese. Mama wants her to learn to be polite.
What happens to everyone? The man at the deli smiles and give Baby Emmy a slice of cheese. She eats it and says, "Tank you!" He smiles again and says, "You're welcome, little lady."
