Who is the story about? Ezra the Squirrel
Description Ezra is a little squirrel who finds a delicious nut and spends all day trying to find a safe place to hide it.
Who else is in the story? Ellie the squirrel, Oscar the owl, and Rachel the rabbit
Where are they? Ezra the squirrel is running through the forest when a nut falls and hits him on the head.
What are they doing? Ezra enlists the help of Ellie, Oscar, and Rachel to try and find a safe hiding spot for his precious nut.
Why are they doing that? Ezra invites his friend Ellie to come with him to hide his nut. They meet up with Oscar the owl, who suggests hiding it in a hole in his tree. Ezra thinks that another squirrel or a bird might find his nut and take it. Ezra and Ellie continue on their way until they come upon Rachel the Rabbit. She offers her little home in a log for a safe hiding place for Ezra's nut. Ezra and Ellie are worried that the nut will get lost in the log, because Rachel the Rabbit is not a good housekeeper.
What happens to everyone? Ezra decides that the safest spot for his nut is in his belly! He shares it with his good friend Ellie, as thanks for helping him all day long.
What's your favorite part of the story? I love that Ezra decides to share his prized nut with his friend!
What would you build out of LEGO® DUPLO® blocks to bring your story to life? We would build the tree and the log and try hiding the "nut" in the different places. We could also build the characters of the story.
