Name of my story Jo-Jo Saves the Big Trucks

Who is the story about? Jo-Jo, the Ford F-250

Description Jo-Jo, the Ford F-250, feels like a pretty big truck until he meets two powerful trucks that tease him and try to make him turn around for home. "This road is for real trucks," calls Jack. "Eat my dirt, baby truck," says Mac.

Who else is in the story? Mac and Jack, two powerful eighteen wheel trucks

Where are they? On the Mountain Highroad to Pine Top Peak

What are they doing? Mac and Jack pass Jo-Jo on a downhill run, mocking and teasing him because they are much larger. Jo-Jo determines to make the run up the Mountain Highroad to Pine Top Peak in spite of Mac and Jack's bullying.

Why are they doing that? Mac and Jack are used to being Kings of the Mountain Highroad, but they have never dealt with someone as determined and courageous as Jo-Jo, and they have never faced the danger they are about to face.

What happens to everyone? On the last curve of the Mountain Highroad, Mac and Jack skid off the icy pavement and are left clinging to each other's bumpers in order to keep from hurtling down the mountainside. "Hold on with your seventeenth and eighteenth wheels, Mac," calls Jack in a terrible panic. In the meantime, Jo-Jo churns his way up the Highroad and spots Mac and Jack just in time. He quickly and safely brakes to a stop before ejecting his super-strong cable from his Tiger Power Bumper Winch. "That baby truck can't help us!" cries Jack. "Maybe he can," said Mac. "Jo-Jo could be our hero!"

What's your favorite part of the story? Jo-Jo clicks the super-strong cable into place and pulls with all his might. When his front tires begin to slip, he panics. "I can't do it," he cries. Mac and Jack yell as loudly as they can, "Jo-Jo, don't quit! You must help us! You must try one more time!" Jo-Jo grits his teeth and calls, "I can't do it alone! On the count of three, everyone hit the reverse! One-two-three!" With a thunderous roar Jo-Jo, Mac and Jack hit reverse and leap backward until all three are safely back on the Mountain Highroad. "High Fives all around!" cries Jo-Jo. Forty tire slaps later, the weary trucks crawl slowly the rest of the way to Pine Top Peak. "Hey, Jo-Jo," calls Jack. "Want to eat lunch with us today?" "Sure," says Jo-Jo, "that's better than eating your dirt!" The three trucks howl with laughter.

What would you build out of LEGO® DUPLO® blocks to bring your story to life? My grandson will build all three characters, Pine Top Peak and Mountain Highroad out of Lego Duplo blocks.
