Name of my story Johnny B. Goode

Who is the story about? Johnny B. Goode

Description Johnny is just like any 8-year-old American boy living in NYC …..except for the fact that he’s a superhero. Johnny has the power to change people – not into things like manhole covers – but into better versions of themselves.

Who else is in the story? Johnny has one brother named Hudson, one sister named Audrey and a dog named Kevin. He also has a best friend (aside from you, Kevin) named Atticus and a girl named Daphne who CONSTANTLY follows him and is INCREDIBLY ANNOYING

Where are they? Central Park Great Lawn on the Turtle Pond side in front of Belvedere Castle.

What are they doing? Johnny and his friends are playing in the park after school when panic hits. Max has arrived and he’s looking for trouble. Max is a third grader who looks like he’s been in third grade for five years. As Johnny and his friends recreate a Revolutionary battle scene on the Great Lawn, Max takes a hostage, Atticus, who he is threatening to throw in Turtle Pond. Johnny runs away....to save the day as Hudson and Audrey try to delay Max from giving Atticus a Turtle Bath.

Why are they doing that? Well, Max has been bullying everyone lately and Johnny has figured out why - his older brother, Teddy, likes a girl named Pamela, who doesn't really notice him....making him VERY upset these days and he's been bullying Max, who is taking it out on the 3rd grade. Johnny has a plan: Get Teddy to rescue Atticus but only when Pamela is looking (good thing EVERYONE is in the park today) - making Teddy look good, Pamela notice him and say hi, putting Teddy in a good enough mood to let Max play with his new Lego Hogwarts Castle, which makes Max decide that it wouldn't really be nice to throw Atticus in Turtle Pond.....and scare all of those turtles.

What happens to everyone? Teddy buys ice cream for Pamela as Teddy invites everyone over to his house to play with Legos.

What's your favorite part of the story? We love when all the pieces of the story come together at the end - how each person is an important part of making something good out of something bad.

What would you build out of LEGO® DUPLO® blocks to bring your story to life? Belvedere Castle in Central Park looks a lot like Hogwarts so we'd probably use our Hogwarts Castle Legos and then use all of our blue and green Legos to build a pond.
