Who else is in the story? Mom and dad
Where are they? One beautiful Saturday, the family is out exploring their neighborhood.
What are they doing? They collect pretty fall leaves, they see big and little critters, they gaze at the clouds in the sky and do a few loops around their neighborhood.
Why are they doing that? When they get back home the kids ask what neighborhoods look like on the other side of the world. Are they the same? Do the trees and animals look the same? What do families do there? The kids ask so many questions that mom and dad decide this is the perfect time to give them a surprise -- the whole family is going on a trip to China in a few months! Mom and dad have been planning this special trip to visit some relatives still living there and to show the kids a part of their culture with their own eyes.
What happens to everyone? The kids get so excited and want to know everything about the trip -- when are we going? how will we get there? who will we meet? what will we do? They can't contain their excitement so they decide to take a trip to the library to get some books on China and start to plan their family adventure together.
