Who is the story about? Louis the Dragon
Description Louis the Dragon is one sneaky little fellow. When no one is watching him, he likes to creep into their houses and take nice long naps. The only problem is that he leaves a huge mess in his wake.
Who else is in the story? Trenton the Dinosaur, Winifred the Woodchuck, and Carmen the Crocodile
Where are they? It's a beautiful day in New London. Louis the Dragon has just finished taking a long nap inside a house in the village. When he tries to exit the small cottage, he is caught by the owner, Winifred the Woodchuck. She is very unhappy because Louis has made quite a mess.
What are they doing? Winifred the Woodchuck is scolding Louis the Dragon for being so bothersome. Louis's friends, Trenton the Dinosaur and Carmen the Crocodile decide that they need to help their friend Louis. They do not want him to get in anymore trouble!
Why are they doing that? Trenton the Dinosaur and Carmen the Crocodile have one of the same problems as Louis the Dragon: they can't fit into small spaces because they are such big animals. They want to help their big friend because they know how it feels to be oversized and just looking for a place to fit in.
What happens to everyone? Trenton and Carmen show Louis how to build a proper shelter so that he can take a nice long nap in his own house. They also decide to share their homes with him, so that he will never feel left out again!
What's your favorite part of the story? My favorite part of the story is when Louis learns that he doesn't have to be sneaky anymore.
What would you build out of LEGO® DUPLO® blocks to bring your story to life? My son's used to have an imaginary friend that he called Louis the Dragon. He would build Louis out of Legos and make him soar through the air. Then he would walk around the house saying, "Dragons are so sneaky." My boys could build the animals and the houses out of Legos and/or Duplo blocks.
