Where are they? On the Grand Mesa in Colorado
What are they doing? Julian, Emilio, Tracy and Danielle are enjoying the beautiful scenery on the Grand Mesa in Colorado. Julian is now 4 years old introducing his new 8 week old brother, Emilio to the beautiful mountains in the fall. Danielle has had diabetes for 20 years, but she does not let that get in the way of a healthy lifestyle. She has been able to conceive two beautiful boys and carry them without any complications full term. Her hard work and determination have allowed her to maintain normal blood sugar control. Her boys are both healthy happy boys enjoying some hiking and exercise in the beautiful mountains of Colorado.
Why are they doing that? Exercise and family time are very important to the Gallegos family. Being in the nature is a perfect way for Tracy and Danielle to unwind after their stressful jobs and caring for a 4 year old and newborn. The boys love being outdoors getting exercise in the beautiful fall air!
What happens to everyone? The entire family hikes, eats lunch and observes many different forms of wildlife including coyotes, deer, cows and birds. Julian finds sticks, leaves, and bugs. The family eats lunch aside a beautiful lake.
What's your favorite part of the story? Emilio loses his Broncos shoe so the family has to do a scavenger hunt to find it! The Broncos still lost the game though!
What would you build out of LEGO® DUPLO® blocks to bring your story to life? A fishing pole so Julian can catch some fish out of the lake for the family to eat for lunch!
