Name of my story Miranda's Gift

Who is the story about? Miranda and her twin sisters, Katrina and Kalypso.

Description Miranda's twin sisters change her life. They have their own ways that cause Miranda to become " Miranda the Miraculous" as she comes to the rescue of Grandma who is having trouble with getting Miranda's twin sisters back in the car after causing an uproar at "someone elses'" birthday party.

Who else is in the story? Grandma, the fussy lady in the yellow polka dot dress at the start of the party who had offered the twins balloons that Grandma turned down, but, at the end of the party was refusing to give them balloons, despite Grandmas pleas to !!Help get them out of there!! and the birthday party guests.

Where are they? In a building that houses a carousel in a room next to it where a private kid's birthday party is going on.

What are they doing? They are invading and demanding balloons at a picture perfect birthday party that they are not invited to or welcome at.

Why are they doing that? They are doing it because they are three and a half, but, developmentally much younger because they have something the doctors call "Pervasive Developmental Disorder with Autistic Tendencies"

What happens to everyone? The fussy lady in the yellow polka dot dress kept her balloon, but,I'm sure her heart "wasn't happy". Grandma was furious at the lady, felt helpless to coral the twins and put them in the car as they ran from the party to the carousel and to the playground equipment at the park. Her heart definitely wasn't happy. Then, Grandma thought about six year old Miranda who was choosing as she often did to be in her role as an adult "Miraculous Miranda", the whole time. She was chasing after her sisters and trying to protect them and empathizing with Grandma, without a word of complaint.

What's your favorite part of the story? That Miranda, despite having such a hard job as a young child, had received a gift of having such a "Happy Heart" because she could share her love with her sisters and family in such a big and important way.

What would you build out of LEGO® DUPLO® blocks to bring your story to life? A carousel with the Birthday Party children, Miranda, Katrina, Kalypso, Grandma and the fussy lady in the yellow polka dot dress on it all holding balloons and smiling with Miranda grabbing the gold ring.
