Who is the story about? Perry the Prairie Dog and Patti the Prairie Dog
Description Perry and Patty have a day of fun in their prairie dog town.
Who else is in the story? Barry the Buffalo, Tommy the Toad, Lucy the Lark, Brutus the Badger, Hillary the Horse
Where are they? Perry and Patty live in a prairie dog town in Teddy Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota. It's a typical hot summer day.
What are they doing? Patty and Perry look for fun and adventure all day long. First they find their friend Lucy the Lark who tells them to watch out for mean Brutus the Badger. Then they dig in the sand with Tommy the Toad. They play hide and go seek and then rest with their friend Barry the Buffalo (who provides plenty of shade). They chase Hillary the Horse as she saunters by on a trail ride.
Why are they doing that? Patty and Perry just want to have a day of fun and explore life in a prairie dog town. They want to show off the fact that they have many other animal friends (and some critters to watch out for) in their part of the prairie.
What happens to everyone? Patty and Perry interact with each of their friends, learning a little something about how they spend their day.
What's your favorite part of the story? They very end when Patty and Perry laugh about all the fun they had throughout the day and are thankful they are the best of friends.
What would you build out of LEGO® DUPLO® blocks to bring your story to life? A prairie dog town! It would be great to have a set of DUPLO prairie animals.
