Who is the story about? a little girl named Rosalie
Description Rosalie goes fishing with her Grandpa for the first time. She has to learn all the safety rules about the dock, boat, and fishing. She also gets to learn how much fun a day out with Grandpa is.
Who else is in the story? Rosalie's Grandpa
Where are they? It's a bright sunshine day and Grandpa is taking Rosalie fishing for the first time. They visit a big lake by Grandpa's house and are going to fish on his shiny big boat.
What are they doing? Fishing is Grandpa's favorite thing to do in the summer. Keely gets to go with for the first time, just her and Grandpa. Grandpa knows being safe is a garenteed way to have fun while fishing.
Why are they doing that? Fishing is a fun way to be outside on the lake. Even if you don't catch a fish you get to see a lot of people and animals. But fishing can also have dangers, deep water and hooks. Rosalie gets to learn how to stay safe and have fun.
What happens to everyone? Grandpa gives Rosalie a brand new bright pink life jacket that she has to put on before going on the dock. He tells her not to run and to wait for help before getting in the boat. Rosalie gets to pick out what bobber she wants and what worm to use. Grandpa tells her not to play with the hooks because they are sharp. She has to stay sitting in the boat so she doesn't fall out but they point out all the fun animals they can see. Suddenly Rosalie's bobber goes under water and she catches her first fish! It was a fun and safe day with Grandpa.
What's your favorite part of the story? My daughter will get to spend special days with each of our family members. I feel it's important to learn all the safety rules on each activity so she can be independent but safe.
