Who is the story about? A boy
Description A young boy discovers what it means to "go green" through day to day experiences that teach him about efforts to "save the planet."
Who else is in the story? Family and Friends
Where are they? The story takes place over a one week time frame with the boy at school on Monday where his teacher talks about going green. He is concerned because he doesn't want to be green (he imagines himself green). He also is at home, in the park and taking a walk.
What are they doing? Throughout the week he learns about picking up trash, recycling, using a cloths line, turning off water, walking rather than aking a car and using eco friendly lunch boxes
Why are they doing that? He learns these environmentally friendly tasks that a child can do because he is becoming environmentally aware and realizes going green isn't about color but about caring for the world.
What happens to everyone? He returns to school and when his teacher asks about going green he shares what he has learned and she gives him a sticker
What's your favorite part of the story? When the little boy imagines himself as an environmental superhero
What would you build out of LEGO® DUPLO® blocks to bring your story to life? A neighborhood that has Legos reflecting environmental concepts like recycling bins, cloths lines, solar panels for houses and street lights, eco friendly transportation - and of course a "green boy" in an environmental superhero shirt!
