What are they doing? Searching for Katie's lost "Pinkie"
Why are they doing that? Katie loved her Pinkie, more than words can say. Katie loved her Pinkie, each and every day. Daddy said, "That Pinkie, really needs a bath!" Mommy said, "That Pinkie, always makes me laugh!" Grammy said, "Please tell me, is it plastics, woods or furs?" Bobbie knew the answer, because the Pinkie used to be hers.
What happens to everyone? One day Katie was crying, because her Pinkie couldn't be found. Bobbie tried to help her. They looked all around. Mommy looked up high, and Daddy looked on the floor. Grammy looked in the basement, but she didn't know what for. Then Grammy said to Katie, "I think I could help much more, if you could tell me, Katie, just what a Pinkie is for." "A Pinkie is for loving" Katie said with a smile Then she sighed sadly and rested her head for a while. "What does your pinkie look like?" asked Grammy with concern. "He's pink of course", said Katie, "and his side is a little torn." "Hurray!" shouted Grammy, as she reached into a sack. "Does your Pinkie have a purple bow and grape juice on his back?" "Yes", answered Katie, "But just how did you know? Have you found my little pinkie? Have you seen his purple bow?" "I've had him all the time! I was going to sew the tear. I didn't know he was your Pinkie - He used to be Bobbie's B-Bear!"
What's your favorite part of the story? That little Katie loves her sister's hand me down bear and anything else her sister is willing to share.
