Dude-Friendly Pregnancy Guide
May 21, 2009
Know a dad-to-be who is clueless about the whole pregnancy thing? Send him a link to Dad's Pregnancy Guide on one of our favorite Daddy blogs, hisboyscanswim.com. There he can see, week-by-week, how big his in utero baby is, in dude-friendly comparisons. ("Week 16: Man, you are a STUD! Your baby is now the size of a small stud finder.") Sure, there are probably men who would be insulted to be stereotyped as someone who only thinks in terms of footballs, cars, and breasts, and there are probably women who would find this guide just as useful, but I'm sending this to the dads I know, anyway.

Dopplers
Hi
When we were having our first baby, my partner and I brought a fetal doppler from http://www.mumstheword.com/productlist.asp?CatID=220&rootcat=120 and this got both of us so involved with the pregnancy.
I would recommend it to any couple who are having a baby.
Books for Dads - Dudes Guide to Pregnancy
I can't recommend "The Dudes Guide to Pregnancy" enough. It's absolutely hilarious and informative. My husband got a few pregnancy books, but this one was by far his favorite.
I found it on amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/Dudes-Guide-Pregnancy-Dealing-Expecting/dp/0446178195
