World Record for Jumping Jacks

This week First Lady Michelle Obama announced that with the help of 300,265 students, parents and teachers around the country, she set a world record for the most number of people doing jumping jacks in a 24-hour period. The previous record was 20,000 and the goal to break the record was part of Mrs. Obama’s Let’s Move! initiative.

Help for Healthier Schools

So, yesterday I was on the phone with another mom who was talking about the HealthierUS Schools challenge.  The mom was First Lady Michelle Obama and I say I was “on the phone,” rather than “talking on the phone” because I only listened.  However, even though I was on the conference call as more of a quiet media stalker than a participant, it was still cool to hear her voice in my bluetooth.
