Jordache Ltd. has recalled 30,000 youth hooded sweatshirts. The sweatshirts have a drawstring through the hood, which poses a strangulation hazard and violates guidelines set by the CPSC in February 1996. The fleece sweatshirts were sold in a variety of colors, with the words "U.S. Polo Assn." printed on them. A tag sewn into the sweatshirts also reads "U.S. Polo Assn.," and the style number is 12-5169.
To eliminate the choking hazard, simply remove or cut the drawstring. To receive a refund, return the sweatshirt to the store where it was purchased. For more information, call Jordache Ltd. toll-free at (888) 295-3267 between 8:30 A.M. and 5 P.M. ET Monday through Friday, or visit
