About 1 million Bumbo "Baby Sitter" Seats have been recalled after 28 reports of children falling out, including three who suffered skull fractures, when seats were placed on tables.

The recalled Baby Sitter seats, which were manufactured in South Africa, are round and about 15 inches in diameter. The seat is a single piece of molded foam that wraps around the child and has leg holes. It comes in yellow, blue. purple, pink, aqua. and lime green.

The front of the seat has the word "Bumbo" with the image of an elephant on top. The back of the seat has the following warning: "Never use on a raised surface. Never use as a car seat or bath seat. Designed for floor level use only. Never leave your baby unattended as the seat is not designed to be totally restrictive and may not prevent release of your baby in the event of vigorous movement."

The recalled seats were sold at Target, Wal-Mart, Sears, Toys R Us, Babies R Us, USA Babies, and other toy and children's stores nationwide and online from August 2003 to October 2007 for $40.

Parents should never place the Baby Sitter Seats on an elevated surface or leave the child unattended. Contact Bumbo at (877) 932 8626 between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday to Friday or visit www.bumbosafety.com
