Gerber Recalls Organic Cereals

Lumps of cereal that do not dissolve in water or milk can pose a choking hazard.

July 16, 2007 Gerber has recalled all packages of Gerber ORGANIC Rice and ORGANIC Oatmeal Cereals. Some products may contain lumps of cereal that do not dissolve in water or milk and therefore pose a choking hazard.

The recalled products are sold in 8-ounce boxes and have been distributed in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean. The codes for the recalled cereals be found on the bottom right side of the box: The Gerber ORGANIC Rice UPC Code is 15000 12504 and the Gerber ORGANIC Oatmeal UPC Code is 1500 12502.

Consumers should stop using the products and call the Gerber Parents Resource Center at 1-800-443-7237 or 1-231-928-3000 to return the product and receive a full refund.
