H&M has recalled 2,700 boys' cotton canvas jackets with an attached compass. The compass can be break into pieces, posing a choking hazard to children. The compass also contains liquid mineral oil, which can be harmful if swallowed.
The recalled jacket, sized 18M to 6Y, is made of cotton canvas and has style number 93196 on the inside care label. The removable 2.75-inch compass, which is copper or turquoise, attaches with a clip to the side of the jacket. The jackets were sold in H&M stores nationwide for about $30, from February 2006 through October 2006.
The compass should be removed from the jacket and thrown away. Consumers can also mail the compass to H&M to receive a store coupon. For more information, call (877) 439-6261 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or visit
