Jogging Strollers Recalled

Sycamore Kids Inc. has recalled 4,000 Mountain Buggy Jogging Strollers. This is an expansion of a recall that was announced July 2005 and November 2005 for the Mountain Buggy Urban Single and Urban Double Breeze Strollers. The handlebar of the strollers can crack or break during use, posing a risk of injury.

The strollers consist of a metal frame and a cloth seat with a sun canopy. They were sold in a variety of colors, including: midnight blue, navy, red, black, silver, and orange. A metal plate above the footrest shows the Mountain Buggy logo.

The models included in the recall are as follows:

Mountain Buggy Urban Single  -- item # U1204-002, serial #s 000000 to 015276
Mountain Buggy Urban Double  -- item # U2204-002, serial #s between 000000 to 009221
Mountain Buggy Breeze  -- item # B1204-001, serial #s 000000 to 000191

The item and serial numbers can be found on the back of the metal plate.

The strollers were sold at juvenile furniture retailers and baby product stores nationwide and online retailers for between $400 and $640.
