Payless Shoe Source has recalled 270,000 Toddler Clog Shoes. Plastic rivets used to attach the strap to the shoe can detach and pose a choking hazard to children.
The recalled clog shoes have air ventilation holes on the top and sides. The following clog styles are included in the recall: Dora the Explorer, Spongebob Squarepants, Hello Kitty, Coasters(r) Lighted Car Compel, and Cambridge Mary-Jane. The recalled shoes were sold in toddler sizes 5 to 10. No other styles, sizes, or models are being recalled. The shoes were sold at Payless ShoeSource stores nationwide and Payless.com from January 2006 to June 2007 for $15 to $20.
Consumers should immediately remove the recalled shoes from children and return them to the store where purchased for a refund or exchange.
