Kolcraft Enterprises Inc. of Chicago, Illinois has recalled 425,000 infant play yards after a 10-month-old boy was strangled on the changing table's restraint strap that was hanging down into the "Sesame Beginnings" Travel Play Yard.

Kolcraft has recalled 12 play yards. The recallec play yards have raised changing tables with a restraint strap that forms a loop under the changing table, which poses a strangulation hazard to a child in the play yard.

The Contours 3-in-1 Play Yard also has a raised cradle that rocks back and forth. A child can get trapped against the side of the cradle and suffocate.

The recalled play yards were sold in various colors and patterns. Click here The play yards were manufactured in China and sold at retail stores nationwide from January 2001 to September 2007 for between $50 and $130.

Parents should immediately stop using the recalled changing tables and rocking cradle. The CPSC advises parents to cut off and remove the existing changing table restraint strap and to always remove the raised changing table and cradle or bassinet before placing a child in the play yard.

Contact Kolcraft to receive a free non-looped replacement strap for the changing table and a free repair kit for the cradle. Call Kolcraft at (888) 655-8484 or visit www.kolcraft.com To view this entire recall, including pictures, visit: http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml07/07315.html
