Jetmax International has recalled about 36,000 wooden storage racks with canvas totes after an 8-month-old child's death. The child suffocated and died after he pulled on the storage rack and it fell on him, with the top rail landing on his neck.

The recalled rack is wooden with three levels and nine removable canvas totes. Boys' racks come in natural color wood with red, yellow, green, and navy totes while girls' racks come in white colored wood with pink, yellow, lime, and purple canvas totes.

The storage racks were made in China and sold at Wal-Mart stores nationwide as "Home Trend Kids 9 Canvas Bin Boy's and Girl's Organizers" from August 2004 to July 2005 and Ollie's stores nationwide from July 2006 to June 2007 for about $40.

Parents should immediately remove the recalled storage racks from children's reach and contact Jetmax International for a free repair kit that would stabilize the base of the storage rack. Call (800) 689-2168 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT, visit www.jlwoodenmfg.com To view this entire recall, including pictures of the storage racks, visit http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml08/08085.html
