Teether Books Recalled

Teethers can break, posing a choking hazard to children

About 35,000 Priddy "Trucks" Shaker Teether books have been recalled because of a choking hazard. Manufacturer St. Martin's Press has received reports of children biting off pieces of the teethers.

The recalled cloth shaker teether book Trucks has a yellow dump truck on the blue front cover. A yellow rattle with a green teether on the right side and an orange teether on the left side is attached to the top of the book. The recalled teether books were sold at Barnes & Noble and other retailers nationwide from January 2006 to June 2007 for about $7.

Parents should immediately take these toys away from children and contact St. Martin's press to return the product for a free replacement. Call 800-347-9411 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET Monday to Friday, or visit www.priddybooks.com/recall
