Infantino has recalled 172,000 infant toys in the US and 12,000 in Canada. The toys have blue metallic fabric that can detach and pose a choking hazard. The firm has received 45 reports of the metallic fabric detaching from the toys.
The recalled infant toys include the Infantino Lil' Chef Set, model number 158-201 and 558-201, the Infantino Activity Stacker, model number 158-202, and Infantino Tag Along Chime Trio, model number 150-3092. The model number is located on a yellow tag on the toy. The toys were made in China and sold at Babies "R" Us, Target, Wal-Mart, Meijer and other specialty stores from June 2007 through February 2009 for between $10 and $20.
Consumers should immediately take the recalled toys away from young children and contact Infantino for a free replacement toy or product.
