Pregnancy week 1, first trimester. During the 1st week of pregnancy, you won’t have symptoms yet. You can have fun calculating what your due date would be.

Pregnancy week 2, first trimester. During the 2nd week of pregnancy, you won’t have symptoms yet. This is the week before ovulation, so get ready to conceive.

Pregnancy week 3, first trimester. During the 3rd week of pregnancy, you won’t have symptoms yet. You should try to get the recommended amount of folic acid for proper development of the embryo.

Pregnancy week 4, first trimester. During the 4th week of pregnancy, your body starts to increase production of estrogen and progesterone so that an embryo can implant. Symptoms: you may feel exhausted or experience breast tenderness this week.

Pregnancy week 5, first trimester. During the 5th week of pregnancy, you may see positive results on your home pregnancy test. You can schedule your initial prenatal checkup and ask your doctor about exercising during your pregnancy.

Pregnancy week 6, first trimester. During the 6th week of pregnancy, the embryo is less than one-fifth of an inch long. Symptoms: tender breasts and nipples, constant fatigue, and frequent bathroom trips.

Pregnancy week 7, first trimester. During the 7th week of pregnancy, the embryo will more than double its length. It is now about the size of a raspberry.

Pregnancy week 8, first trimester. During the 8th week of pregnancy, your uterus has expanded from the size of a fist to the size of a grapefruit to accommodate your growing baby. You may feel occasional cramping in your lower abdomen and sides.

Pregnancy week 9, first trimester. During the 9th week of pregnancy, you may stop experiencing morning sickness and fatigue. You might even experience a heightened sex drive.

Pregnancy week 10, first trimester. During the 10th week of pregnancy, your baby measures about 1 1/2 inches from top to bottom. Symptoms: pregnancy hormones may start to make you moody.

Pregnancy week 11, second trimester. During the 11th week of pregnancy, your baby is about the size of a thumb. Try to sleep on your side as much as possible to increase blood flow to your baby.

Pregnancy week 12, first trimester. During the 12th week of pregnancy, you're almost at the end of your first trimester. Your uterus has moved from the pelvic floor to the front of your abdomen, which may ease the pressure on your bladder.

Pregnancy week 17, second trimester. During the 17th week of pregnancy, your baby weighs about 5 ounces. Symptoms: Your uterus is about two inches below your belly button.

Pregnancy week 18, second trimester. During the 18th week of pregnancy, your baby is conscious noises from the outside world. Symptoms: your uterus is now the size of a cantaloupe.

Pregnancy week 19, second trimester. During the 19th week of pregnancy, your baby weighs about seven ounces. Symptoms: you will have gained between 8 and 14 pounds by this stage.

Pregnancy week 20, second trimester. During the 20th week of pregnancy, your baby can weigh up to a pound. Symptoms: your oval-shaped uterus is nearly level with your belly button and grows a centimeter each week.
