Creating Facebook Account for Baby In Utero – Cute or Creepy?

Some people love Facebook and some people really love Facebook. You probably fall into the latter category if you create an account and profile page for your baby – while she’s still in utero. Parents-to-be Ellie and Matt Greene of Whitehouse, Texas did just that for their baby daughter who is nestled comfortably away in mommy’s uterus.

Fetus Marriah Greene attends Tummy University, is employed by God and lists swimming and soccer as her sports, and Lady Gaga, Look Who’s Talking and Little Fockers as entertainment choices. Under “About Marriah,” it states, I am growing strong and waiting to get out of my mom’s belly. The word in the belly is there’s a lot more to see.

But alas, Marriah’s early foray into social media has been nixed. As soon as Facebook got wind of it, they deleted her account. According to the Huffington Post, Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities prohibits anyone from “creating an account for anyone other than yourself without permission.”

If her parents are determined to get their growing baby girl exposure on the popular social network, they can create a Facebook page (as opposed to a profile) for her, which does abide by Facebook policy, and still communicate the same updates as before. If not, the 260+ friends Marriah had amassed on her profile page may have to wait a while to get personal status updates from her – 13 years that is.

What do you think about creating a Facebook page for your fetus? Yes, definitely or no way?
