The Scoop on Disability Coverage

Got life insurance? Probably. But how about disability coverage? It’s costly (about $100 a month and up), yet here’s why it’s wise, even if you work from home:

• As a young parent, your odds of death are far less than your chances of getting injured or
ill and needing to pay someone to do your usual home chores.

• If you work for yourself, you may also be forced to hire someone to be your substitute.

• You’ll likely want to replace at least part of your earnings.

• A short-term policy could let you take a paid maternity leave if you get pregnant. It can also be handy if you become sidelined by complications before the birth.
