Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

My aunt was telling me recently that it would be hard for me to get a job already pregnant and showing just a little bit. She also reminded me that if i did go on any interviews that that company would look at me as risk or liability. Menaing i wouldnt be an asset because of dr. appts and maternity leave. This is my first child, i have money saved up but i wished that my horomones and attitude at the time didnt make me quit my job. (i quit 2 weeks before finding out i was pregnant).

Most employers won't hire a woman who is already pregnant. They'll never come out and say that because it would be discrimination, which is illegal. But, you would essentially be a temporary employee and that just doesn't make sense for them, even if you'll be returning to work after your baby is born. It sucks, but that's just how it is.
