Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

This is my 3rd child and i am also in my 3rd trimester!! I toss and turn every night too, the only thing that helped me was to buy some fluffy body pillows and wedge one behind my back and then the other one in front of me with my legs wrapped around it. Pregnacy is hard and I had this problem with the first two! Good luck:)
I'm in my second trimester (1st child) and I've read that tossing and turning is the worst thing to do. The best way to fall asleep is to actually do something boring. Doing something that you dislike, or find a bit boring, can put you right to bed. Example, read a book (if you dislike reading), watch TV...anything boring and sooner than later you will be snoozing.Best of luck!
I'm in my second trimester with my second child and I have the same problem. I try to take naps during the day when I can't sleep at night. Try taking a hot shower or bath before you go to bed. The hot water can have a relaxing effect.
I feel like i am going to faint from being so tired! I cant sleep at night, this is baby number two so my first child keeps me up and running all day (he is two).... If you find out the secret to sleep please let me know.
Nap when baby #1 does. My son is 9 months old and keeps me running so if I need to I take a nap when he does or just lay down and relax which helps me a lot too. Good luck.
Well thank you all soo much for your advice..Alot of things I will have to try to do next time. I think yestarday was the hardest for me though, I had to go into the hospital because of contractions I never knew they could hurt that bad. But since this is my first I guess there suppose to hurt. It's very hard to understand alot of the things that goes on in pregnancy but I think the hardest for me is to just be patient and it will all be worth it..
im only in my first trimester and i have not been able to sleep but i got a body pillow and its helped so you should maybe try that
Im in the same boat. lol. Im in my third trimester, due sept. 25th and i have been tossing and turning for months. Like you im only 17 years old and this is my first baby as well. Its hard becuase we are so young and yet have this HUGE responsibility to look forward to. My problem was that i could not get my mind to stop thinking about EVERYTHING and anything. The only thing that seems to help me is to take a cold shower right before bed, lay on my left side with a pillow between my legs and a pillow in front of me. Everybody i different it might help to do the opposite of what people say have worked. Hope this helps:)
