Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

Is it normal to faint/pass out during pregnancy?

So, today on my way to class I was getting rather lightheaded (which was normal for me) so I decided to just stop & lean against a wall (which usually helps.) Next thing I know, I was sitting in a chair with a million people around me. Is it normal for pregnant woman to just pass out like that or am I doing something wrong? PS - I did go to the campus doctor. She did blood work & everything came back normal but she couldn't answer my question :/

IT IS NORMAL. IDK WHY BUT DURING MY FIRST PREGNANCY I ALMOST FAINTED LIKE 4 TIMES... TWICE DURING CLASS. LUCKILY I EITHER CAUGHT MYSELF OR SOMEONE CAUGHT ME..
Anytime you pass out/faint you should see your doctor or call them right away. Its good you saw the campus doctor but definitely call your ob-gyn or midwife and tell them what happened. They are the ones who can assess your health and make sure everything is ok.
No mam that isnt normal! Your blood sugar is dropping and causing you to feel faint and pass out. You need to make sure that you are eating every 3-4 hour and if possible take trail mix or peanut butter crackers to class with you, something with protein, because that will balance out your blood sugar quickly if its low. Juice will get it up there quickly but it wont stay balanced for long. I would just make sure you are eating properly and taking your prenatal. A healthy mom makes for a healthy baby and thats what we waI would run want! If that persists I would run that by your doctor because you could have developed pregnancy diabetes but it 90 percent of the time goes away after you have the baby you will just need to watch your food closely, eat healthy and frequently, and pray cause the rest i in Gods hands and he will take good care of you:-)
