Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

How far along are you?
Depends on how far along you are.
I started lactating in the first week of my fifth month with my last pregnancy, I don't know how far along you are, But every woman is different, now at least you don't have to worry whether or not you were going to get your milk in at all. Your body is already prepared for lactation. A friend of mine didn't get her milk in until 6-12 hours after her daughter was born so every woman is different. If it really conscerns you talk to your doctor/midwife/nurse who ever is taking care of you.
im 5 1/2 months and boobs really hurt and they leak constantly..... but yeah this is my first child and i just didnt know what to expect... thanks guys
Me too! i'm 23 weeks today, about 5.5 months, first pregnancy, and started leaking some clear and some whitish stuff last weekend. And it HURTS - not just sore but like knives in my nipples! i went and got the Gerber Nuk nursing pads ($4.99 @ babies R us store - just saw they are $3.49 today online, fyi) Have a dr. appt Dec. 8 and i'm going to ask what's up. :( but yes, i guess this means we're "lucky" and won't have trouble w/ milk coming in?? take care all!
