Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

My dr. ordered an ultrasound at 20 weeks for "size greater than date". What does that mean?

We weren't told that anything was off... if anything, my dr. projected that I exuded normalness. So, why the ultrasound?

that just mean that your baby is bigger than the normal rate for his gestational age, besides that most every pregnant woman gets thier ultrasound done at 20 weeks to determine gender and make sure everything is okay.
Most likely your baby is a little bigger than the typical baby at that stage. They probably just want to check everything and they maybe they have your due date calculated wrong and you are a few weeks further than they thought.
