Hello DoozyDiDi. First of all I want to congratulate you on your pregnancy. I know as soon as you know you are pregnant you should not pick up more than 15 pounds. This is to make sure that both you and baby stay healthy through this stage in life and nothing unexpected will happen.
I am about 7 to 8 weeks now and my OB told me I can lift what i feel is comfortable, so as long as i lift properly, and am used to lifting that much, he said its okay. which is good b/c i put in a new sump pipe and laid a flagstone patio last weekend. I'm feeling perfectly fine, i still have my baby, and it was a great workout.
