Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

Pains when I sneeze or cough!?

2 answers
I am 14 weeks pregnant with twins and when I sneeze, cough or move a certain way I have pain in my pelvic area it worries me because it feels like something pulls or tears but I am not bleeding or anything. Any advice? is it normal? This is my second pregnancy and I didn't experience any of this with my son but that was 8 years ago and I was in very good shape pre-pregnancy and that isn't the case this time.

absolutely normal.  I started having them around 12 weeks pregnant.  When I woudl sneeze I would feel a pulling or a pain in one of both sides of my lower tummy, near the creases of my legs that would last anywhere from 5-10 seconds.  Dr. says it's due to relaxing ligaments.  No worries unless you see bleeding or if the pain does not subside fairly quickly.
I had the same thing starting at 10 weeks, my midwife said it's the tendons/ligaments that attach from the uterus to your body. She said to think of it as the ties on a hot air balloon. Your uterus grows and the ties get tighter and tighter and so movement hurts.
