Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

About how long does postpartum bleeding last?

This is my first pregnancy, I am 26 weeks, and I was wondering about how long I should expect to bleed after delivering my daughter. Thanks!

For me it lasted about 4 weeks or so for both of my daughters. I think that is about average. If you breastfeed it can be a bit quicker to finish.
It's an average from anywhere from 3-9 weeks for so. With my first is was about 5 weeks, my second was a week, and third was about 3 weeks. So really it depends and you plan according.
I am breastfeeding my son, and my postpartum bleeding lasted about six weeks.
I am 39 weeks pregnant with my second son right now. With my 1st son my bleeding lasted almost 8 weeks!! and recovery was horrible, so I am praying this one is not like that but everyones different and theres no way to know until you get to that point. Good luck!
