Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

About stretch marks.

I'm on my 23rd wk and so far no signs of stretch marks. Does that mean I'm not going to get them or they could still show up? At about what time during pregnancy do they first start to appear?

I was 28 weeks already gained 35 lbs but I had twins so if they will show up most likely it will happen on the 3rd trimester. Also my doc says that if your mom them most likely you will to!!! My mom had plenty so I knew it would be just a matter of time and trust me I cocoa buttered ouiled daily and it was inevitable. However my children r the best thing that has ever happened to me and my body had to go through permanent reminders  so they could grow big and strong. My hubby calls them love marks
you may still end up with a few. i was the same way, i did not notice any until after birth. i only ended up with three. palmers cocoa butter works the best. i used it twice a day, every day.
I was a liitle over weight wehn I had my first but I only ended up with a few on my tummy adn that was after I had gave birth it all depends on your body type...
I started getting strech marks in my 3rd trimester even though i put cocoa butter on everyday they were there to stay. Maybe it had something to do with my doughter being born 9 lbs 11 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long.. All we can do is hope that some day theyll go away
if and when you do get them, know that they will not go away. instead of looking at them in disgust like most women do, think of them as love marks. no one is perfect. embrace the stretch marks.
