A yeast infection is fine during pregnancy, and over the counter medication is safe to use. BV will need antibiotics from your doctor and should be treated right away since it can cause some problems during pregnancy. Since it's often difficult to differentiate between the two, you need to see your doctor right away for an accurate diagnosis.
