Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

I didn't know so I googled it. It is a test done usually between the 10th and 12th week. It is usually done when the mother or father have a genetic disease in the family or the mother is over 35. They use a catheter to biopsy some of the chorionic villus cells growing on the placenta since they have the same genetic material as the baby. This test can be done sooner than the amniocentesis and the results should come back quicker. They can also use this to tell the sex of the baby. Maybe you'll get to find out early. Hope everything goes good. Good luck :)
