Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

Decreased Nursing Durations...

0 answers
For the past two weeks my 8 week old son has gone from nursing 20-30 minutes (roughly 10-15 minutes on each side) to only nursing for 10 minutes total OCCASIONALLY 15 minutes. He has plenty of wet diapers but his bm's have also gone from 3-4 a day to 1-2. He seems to be gaining weight OK (won't be completely sure of that however until we go to his pediatrician on the 14th) and isn't fussy at all, but I'm still concerned that he's not getting what he needs. My breasts are also no where near drained after he eats. I do however have an oversupply being that I pump about 25oz on the side daily. He gets two expressed bottles daily as well at 12am & 12pm (3-4oz) & that's when I pump in place of his feeding to prevent engorgement. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
