Losing weight is not safe during pregnancy. restricting your caloric intake restricts the amount of nutrition your baby gets, which can cause a lot of problems. If you are concerned about your weight, discuss it with your doctor/midwife. Even if you are overweight or obese it's still recommended that you gain approximately 10-15 during pregnancy To accommodate your baby's weight, the placenta, extra fluid, etc. 
Also, make sure that you are eating a healthy, well balanced diet. Eat lean meats, whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, and low fat dairy. Do as much cooking for yourself as you can, and pay attention to portion sizes. Eat when you are hungry, but make sure it's a healthy meal or snack. Avoid junk food, sweets, candy,  etc. The majority of what you drink should be plain water, with decaf or herbal tea or juice sparingly. Avoid sodas and bottled drinks.
Generally, during 1st and 3rd trimesters in pregnancy, pregnant women loose their weight. Eating frequent small meals helps you manage your portion size. Losing more weight than what you were supposed to be is not safe during pregnancy.
