Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

How do I get my 2 year old to sleep in his own bed?

About a month ago, we switched our 2 year old into a big boy bed from his crib. He was adjusting perfectly fine after the first week or so.... until we bought a new house and moved in about 8 days ago. Now when I put him in his bed and say goodnight, I walk out and close the door, and no more than 10 seconds later he's up and trying to open the door. Crying for mommy. He won't stop. He'll either cry for an hour straight until I give in, or if I leave the door unlocked, he'll walk right over to our room and crawl into bed with us. I'm so lost as to what to do, because he shares a room with his 6 year old brother, who needs his sleep! He has school and can't be up all night because little brother is up screaming. I've tried sitting next to him until he falls asleep... which takes about 40 minutes, but works initially. Then he's up at 2am and crawls into my bed with me. If I put him back in his room, he screams and wakes his brother up. I don't want him to think it's acceptable to spend every night in our bed. In my opinion, it's not a good habit to get into. Anyone have any suggestions please?! I'm desperate for a good nights sleep!!!
