Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

My son is almost 3 so I am always asking myself the same question. We like to "people watch". I will ask him about the colors of peoples clothing or the objects in the room. That keeps us pretty busy. Also keeping a few little toys in your purse helps. I keep matchbox cars, little doodle pads, little figure toys. It usually does the trick. Snacks like pretzels and gummies or goldfish work too. Worst comes to worse dont feel embarressed to be silly and play games and sing songs!
